Help your Child Learn “Skills”, not Subjects

Holistic Development Program to Develop 21st Century Skills

The education assembly line is broken, We’re learning the wrong things

Education in India has historically been stagnant. Our system is one we got from the imperial world. The system was designed to create assembly line workers. This is changing or rather has been forced to. The demands of the modern world are dynamic. The Pythagoras theorem that we learnt in school might not help the next generation survive. Our children need to be able to think independently to succeed.

Automation is taking over, Jobs are at a premium

Here Are Some Startling Facts...
This points to one thing. Computers will take over jobs that are repetitive in nature. Jobs that will survive are the ones that can’t be “Mugged Up”. Our children need to be able to think creatively and not be stagnant. They need to be able to do things that computers can’t. Studying what we studied and the generation before us studied won’t help

Children Need to be Problem Solvers to Succeed in the Future

The future demands problem solvers. Each individual’s ability to solve problems is different based on their education and upbringing. Most business leaders and successful people in the world are known to be patient, resilient problem solvers. The future demands individuals who can solve problems and take on challenges.

“These are 21st century skills. These skills are not covered in our school system”

These All Important 21st Century Skills Include

Critical Thinking
Technology Literacy
Information Literacy
Social Skills
Media Literacy

The Holistic Development Program is Aimed At helping your child develop 21st Century Skills

Who is this online program for?

This program is open for children from Grade 1 to Grade 8. Parents who want their children to be ahead of the curve need not look any further!

Our Online Program Structure

We encourage young minds to think differently

At Logicology, we run a comprehensive program in the form of workshops and competitions that are carefully designed to illuminate the concepts behind Math and Logic in a fun and engaging way.

There are many different ways of looking at a problem and reaching a solution. All one needs is the right logic + the ability to come with novel methodologies; we need to foster Logicologists

Problem Solving Skills
We’ll be using Puzzles (Simple to Complex) based on maths, memory, logic and others to push children to exercise the ability to solve problems. This is a great way to improve patience, resilience and the ability to think on one’s feet Logical & Analytical Thinking: The future is filled with Data. Looking at data, understanding it and arriving at conclusions is a very important skill to have. Learning to analyze complex information and spot patterns is a highly valued skill. We will be using puzzles and interesting games to make this a fun experience for children
Lateral Thinking & Creativity

Creativity always seems like a spark of brilliance or a trait which one is born with. Creative people are generally valued higher in their respective roles than peers. But creativity is not by chance. It’s something that we can teach children to hone. We’ll be using a variety of math, logic and word puzzles to enable children to come up with creative solutions

Learn - Unlearn - Relearn

In a constantly changing world it is essential that we do not get attached to old ways of thinking and doing things. This mindset of “settling” can be removed by constantly being able to learn, unlearn and relearn. This process can get tougher and more stressful if we’re not used to it from early on. Our workshops are created to enable children to be able to adapt and learn.

Ability to see the “bigger picture”
An important part of creating solutions and thinking independently is the ability to see the bigger picture. This ensures that we focus on the things that matter. At the logicology HDP we help children hone these skills through challenging games and activities.
People-centric Mindset
The economy runs on interdependence. We exchange money/value for goods/services which help others. The keyword being “Help Others”. If our children can’t empathize and have a people centric mindset, it’s unlikely that they will be able to do anything of value to the world!
Here’s a Sneak Peek into the kinds of problems your children will solve - We've got you covered on everything right from Logic puzzles, Math puzzles and even Vocab based puzzles!

What Parents Say?

Logicology makes problem solving loads of fun! Their mentoring approach of steering children to the solution (instead of teaching How To) instills a sense of accomplishment and boosts confidence of the children. Tricks to solving common problems quickly or avoiding common mistakes in calculations, improves the speed and accuracy of problem solving. Also, the variety of problems dealt with keeps the children engaged. There is never a dull moment; children actively participate during these sessions. My child looks forward to every session, especially the Menti quiz, for it gives an opportunity to check the turnaround speed and gauge one’s progress with respect to peers.

I am a home-schooling mom of an 8 year old and a 3 year old. Logicology’s Holistic Development program and the CuriOcity Club have been a perfect addition to our home-schooling syllabus. My 8 year old is now interested in geography thanks to the Menti quizzes! What makes the Logicology programs unique is not just the topics they cover, but also the way these topics are introduced and handled (using puzzles and quizzes). I would definitely recommend the Logicology programs to every parent, especially to the ones who are home-schooling their children.
Mukta Saraf-Wakhlu

My son started Logicology at the start of the pandemic. Intially he was a little lost, however he warmed up to the idea over time. The highlight for me has been the fact that he has now been forming his own quizzes and puzzles; sleeping on time and following a regime to ensure he doesn't miss the classes. Logicology has done a wonderful job to help my child as well as a lot of other kids grow! We as parents are also learning new things with him on this ladder of knowledge! Kudos to the Team Logicology for the efforts.
Namrata Mehta

My son was initially reluctant to join the course, but after couple of classes he got hooked on. He would look forward to the classes and enjoyed the FunZoo puzzles and anagrams and generally playing with numbers. After the yearlong program, he is looking forward to the summer workshops and has even recommended this program to his friends.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most frequent questions and answers

How will this help my Child?

This workshop is aimed at progressive parents who are looking at the developing world. This workshop will help your children develop 21st century skills and be “AI Proof”.

Will my child enjoy this?

The sessions are gamified and fun. We simply aim to make it enjoyable for children; the learning follows! The program revolves around gamification and contains interactive games, real-time quizzes and lots of collaborative activities.

Will this interfere with school?

No. This is complementary to what happens at school. The timings are also set keeping in mind school schedules.

Will we get a certificate?

Yes! You will get a participation certification upon completion of the program.

How does your program AI proof children?

Having worked in the Analytics space ourselves, we know what problems can be easily solved using automation and AI and which ones can not.

Through our extensive research we found out that AI cannot replace jobs where, a person is required to

  • Think independently
  • Solve unseen problems
  • Apply knowledge from
  • Provide empathetic human response

One context to another Through our work with children we discovered that children who develop the ability to solve unseen problems, try out alternative approaches for problem solving, think independently and creatively can easily learn newer things as compared to those who don’t. In this program, we expose children to problems that need thinking and application. Over a period of time, children develop their natural abilities and improve their learnability which AI proofs them.

I am not sure if my child will like this program, but I don’t want to miss out on this. What do you suggest?

We get this a lot. We offer demo sessions for children to check out if they
like our style. Our experience so far says children always enjoy the program and don’t want to miss out on it!

Will this program help my child improve her programming/coding skills?

Yes. This program is designed to improve computational and algorithmic
thinking, logical problem solving skills and programming logic. However,
this program doesn’t teach any coding. Your child will be able to design
algorithms that can work with any programming language.

Will this Holistic Development program improve my child's performance in any specific exam?

While this program is not focused on improving performance in any specific exam, your child’s overall thought process will become better. Indirectly, the performance will improve in competitive exams like Olympiads, Bebras Challenge, Scholarship exams and Quizzes.

Why do you use puzzles so extensively?

We believe that an engaged child ensures learning. Children inherently love puzzles and hence puzzles are engaging for them. Moreover, even if you have solved a puzzle earlier, you can not just solve it again through memory. You need to think afresh. That means if your thought process eludes you, you cant solve a puzzle that you’ve solved earlier. As puzzles compel children to think, they develop their natural abilities, focus and concentration. That’s why we use puzzles extensively.

My child is now in Grade 7. She hasn't done the first 6 levels. Is there a way she can still join the program for Grade 7?

Yes, by all means. While the program is for a  total of 8 grades and a child who completes all 8 levels stands to gain more, one can always enroll without having done the program for earlier grades. The program for each grade is modular and you can register your child for the appropriate program based on their current grade.

My child is interested but cannot join her grade's program due to conflicting schedule. Can she join the program for the next grade instead?

While we do not encourage this, in selected cases, we may allow such an arrangement. For example, if your child is in Grade 4, she will need to take a qualification test for Grade 5. If she clears, she can join. You will need to pay the fees for Grade 5 program in that case.
